Help Provide Christmas Where We Can't
As an adoption agency, we legally canât give Christmas presents to the birth mothers weâre working withâor to their children. State laws only allow us to cover pregnancy-related expenses, like housing, utilities, food, medical costs, maternity clothes, and daycare for their other kids.
But itâs Christmas. They should get something special.
Thatâs why we ask you for help.
Weâre raising funds to buy a few special wishes for the nearly 50 birth mothers we are working with right now. Most of these incredible women have other children. And usually, their greatest wish is to see those little ones smile on Christmas morning.
Help Someone like Shasta or Carma
Take Shasta*, for example. Sheâs a mother of a five-year-old and a three-year-old. The baby sheâs carrying will likely be born with special needs that may shorten the childâs life. Weâre actively searching for a loving adoptive family to give this baby the best life possibleâhowever short it may be. Shasta and her children could certainly use some Christmas cheer as she bravely makes this loving decision.
Or Carma*. Sheâs raising her fourteen-year-old son and expecting a little girl. While Carma isnât in a position to raise her daughter, sheâs chosen an adoptive family and hopes for an open adoption. She wants her children to grow up knowing one another, and she wants to watch her little girl thrive. Weâve helped provide Carma with safe housing and are doing everything we can to reduce her stress. A little Christmas cheer would mean the world to her and her son.
